ReWalk – An Exoskeleton that Enables Paraplegics to Walk AgainTechnology/Engineering
Dr. Amit Goffer
The Exoskeleton enables paraplegics to get up from the wheelchair, walk, go up and down stairs and sit, all under their own control. When used in the patient’s day-to-day life, this invention contributes to a significant improvement in health, reinforces self-esteem and extends the patient’s range of ability to actions and activities which cannot be performed from a wheelchair. This development has been presented at numerous events and in the global media as one of the important Israeli inventions in the last decade. The company conducted a successful IPO and is currently traded on NASDAQ stock exchange.
